    Hi Wendy!

I am focusing on the map for now. I would just be nice to get it done and hanging in my office. Then Magic Potion will come back out to play. If I can keep this up then I expect to be done this around Halloween and back to Magic Potion.

For the gall bladder if they can do it with the scope then it is daycare surgery and about 1-2 weeks of taking it easy. If they need to actually open you up then it is a few days in hospital and 6-8 weeks recovery. I should have a better idea of which one when I go, but I do know when you go in for the laproscopic they tell you to be prepared in case they end up having to switch to the full surgery midway through. It may interfere with those helicopter beetle surveys I love so much, but everyone at work would rather I get this done than have me in pain.

Yup, I understand that completely Tamara. I had an arthroscopic clean-up of both my knees in the middle of May. Not replacement, but cleaning up torn meniscus in both of them. I'm just starting to golf again, not even the full game yet, but it's better than the pain and limping I was doing before. Short-term pain for long-term gain! I hope you get in for the procedure sooner, rather than later, and that they are able to do it laparoscopically - much easier!

    Tamara your map is wonderful

I hope that your operation if the surgeon says yes to it, helps you with your issues, I know a few people who have had the same operation and it has made such a difference to their lives

Chris, you are going to have such a fabulous time! Enjoy your trip, and the wedding - hopefully we'll hear all about it and see some photos when you get back.

I'll wave at any airplanes I see flying over my city tomorrow, Chris. Perhaps you'll be on one of them!

Here's my progress on David this SAL. His kneecap is starting to develop and I'm almost to the bottom of the page!

Here's my progress on David for this SAL. His knee is very obvious now. I finished the page and am back up to the top of his thigh!

    He looks gorgeous Wendy!

I did not get much done on my map and didn't take any photos. I am on day 17 of my 18 day shift at work and am getting tired. It will be worth it as I off to the Kamloops and Salmon Arm, BC areas for the weekend. I have a 90th birthday to go to in Kamloops on Friday night and then a family reunion down by Salmon Arm. Hoping it is going to be hot and sunny as I want to take my kayak down as I have not had much of a chance here this summer so far. We have not had forest fires, but have had a lot of rain that I am not complaining about because it is far better than the fires the past couple of years. There are many beautiful lakes down there I want to explore.

And I got good news last Friday at the specialist! My gall bladder got its eviction notice. The Doctor could only tell me that it would be sometime in the fall for his best guess. I have to wait for the hospital to phone and set it up.
