    January Friday - Monday SAL

Good morning all! Is anyone interested in a short SAL after our loooonng one? This weekend is our SAL for both GK and non-GK charts. I hope to continue along with David, depending on what happens with this blizzard that is expected to start within the hour. Lots of snow, very high winds and a changeover to rain for a bit before the temperature drops again means a very good chance that we'll have widespread power outages - no light to stitch by in addition to being very cold. . Will anyone be joining in?

Great, Abi! You mentioned the confetti in the other thread, and I can just imagine how much there is.

Here is my progress on David. As he gets larger and as I experiment with lighting, the photos are becoming more clear. I've also included a photo with the chart for comparison. I'm still loving the detail, although is isn't showing up as much on the photos.

I think that looks amazing, Wendy! I can already see his eye. Marcus made a splendid pattern from this statue.

Thank you Abi and Mireille! Yes, I think Marcus did a wonderful job with the chart. I just begin to get worried about it, and then I stand back to look and everything is just as it should be.

Abi, your Raquette Lake is beautiful - congratulations on finishing your first page! You should be using more colours in the next row, I think, so you'll have more than just sky to keep your interest up.

There are patches of it, but not too much. I don't like stitching the outline though, because that is almost total confetti - but then I get long runs of the same colour to make up for it!
