    I'm Back!!!!

Hi, everyone. It's been a few years since I have posted on this forum....life gets in the way, sometimes.

I have been busy quilting and knitting, enough that to clear some of my finished items, I have been participating in craft sales for a couple of years. Nothing big, but I enjoy meeting the people, and, of course, making a few dollars to ease my conscience about spending money on fabric and yarn.

I have loved this picture for a few years, but found the price too high, so, when it went on sale, that was it...I had to have it. I chose the smaller version because the large version would be too big for my stand, and too big for me to finish in this lifetime (I like to work on 18 ct aida, and it would have been 33 inches wide!)

So, I have started it, after gathering the threads and fabric. I started in the top left corner (I am left handed and it is more comfortable for me to work left to right). I have only 800 stitches done across the top (doing the first 20 rows at a time), and it is not very interesting, therefore I haven't taken a picture yet.

The pattern is #1889, Die Kleine Kunstkennerin, and I can hardly wait to get at some of the more interesting parts!

Glad to finally do a Golden Kite pattern, and be able to share with those who appreciate the art of cross-stitching!

All the best in the New Year to everyone!

I have done about half way across the top 20 lines, and, although it isn't too interesting, I'm still enjoying it. I would have done more, but had Christmas sewing and knitting to do. Now I hope to move more quickly on my stitching.

I hope everyone has a good and safe holiday, and is looking forward to a wonderful New Year!

Hi Nancy, that's a great pattern you are stitching. I love the colours you have stitched already. It looks beautiful.
