Well, I was hoping to complete the page that would take me top to bottom - but couldn't get any stitching done yesterday. Only about 300 - 350 stitches left! Then I can go back up to the top and work on the sky again. Looking forward to a changing of colours. Oh, and still have a small bit to undo and re-stitch in the right colours.Click image for larger version.

Oh you guys have done so much! I do not have photos, but I really did not get much done. Less than a thread length actually. I had planned on doing a bunch on Sunday afternoon and Monday evening after work when it was quiet at my place, but turned out not so quiet. My cousins form 103 Mile were evacuated due to the forest fire on Friday and finally got to our place on Sunday after 2 nights in the Walmart parking lot in Quesnel in their motorhome. I decided to spend some time getting them sorted instead of stitching for some reason. The fire is being held at the highway and they live 2 trailers over from the highway on the other side in a trailer court. Such a hard situation for all those people with all the fires here. So many place totally evacuated. So many more under orders. We are safe with no fires causing orders or alerts in my region or where I go up to my work camp. We had 65% air humidity last night so that helps a lot with not getting the big fires. Carmen's place in Kelowna is okay too and also where she is moving to on Vancouver Island. It is pretty sketchy if we wanted to go visit each other right now and stay in the province as we would have to detour from the main route and still drive right by a fire. It is crazy out there.

Tamara, I have been wondering about the fire situation in your area. Glad it hasn't reached PG. Have been watching the news and it's just heart breaking to see the devastation! It's wonderful no human lives have been lost - and I haven't heard of any injuries either. But, I always think about the animals that had to be left behind and how heart wrenching that must be for people who have to evacuate to save their own lives. When it's a matter of minutes to escape, there's not much that can be done except to get out..
Praying for rain to give some relief to that area. As long as the rain can come without the lightening strikes that have caused a lot of those fires.
Happy to hear your cousins made it out and were able to find refuge with you.

Great progress ladies! I just got back from Provincials and have to shower and unpack so I'll comment more tomorrow.

Tamara, I'm glad that you, your cousins and Carmen are safe. Things sound just horrible out there - it's beyond imagination. Last year Fort McMurray, and now this.

    Hello Gail,

I have to say I always think about the animals too. That just tears me up. And such devastation of the forests.
