I was afraid the pictures wouldn't come through as I was having trouble setting up the post. I did contact Marcus and he said there was internet trouble at the time. Let me try the pictures again.

As for the weekend SAL, I'm out of that one as I'll be continuing with Lilac Lights, which is a non-GK project. I'll be watching everyone's progress, though. And speaking of that,

Abi, I really have no words to say how much I love your peonies. They get more beautiful with every update.
Angela, I think you deserve the title of Confetti Goddess. But you map is really beautiful. The colors are amazing. The yellow overtones give the entire design a feeling of being really old. You're doing such a beautiful job.
Wendy, I know Scotland has been awesome but I have been missing your Lesbia updates.
Tamara, all of your projects are coming along so well! Mario made me laugh.

I hope I didn't miss anyone. I forgot to take notes of the progress pictures before I started this reply.

I have to say I really enjoy this SAL. Most of the other lists I belong to tend to work smaller or less complex patterns, and those that do work the more complex designs don't tend to post progress pictures on a regular basis. It's fun watching the designs emerge. So thanks to everyone who posts here.

Okay, now I'm confused. I posted the first note with the pictures and they showed up as attachments again. I posted the second note with comments about progress pictures and the pictures appended to it. I have no idea what I did. Sorry . . .

    Debbie that is so beautiful!

Angela that pattern's confetti is definitely paying off. It is gorgeous.

Abi your peonies are coming along nicely.

I will be in with my Magic Potion. Hoping it is nice enough to do some yard work this weekend too and my allergies let me out there to do it. Monday it snowed. Wednesday it was sunny and plus 18C. This morning we are fighting at work on if the airconditioner can go on. Everyone else says yes as their offices are roasting, but it only actually cools the hallway my cubicle is in and blows on me and my desk is only 16C already. The heat has been off for a couple of weeks already and I have been using a portable heater at my desk. It is a crazy building.

Debbie I see your pictures now, they look amazing. I can not stitch stuff like this, it would look so messy. Thank you by the way for the title.

Wendy have a good flight back, we missed you here.
I'm in with my Villa this time, they are calling for flooding rain tomorrow and Saturday. We are safe on our hill but all the low areas will probably be under water, all the water levels are already rising from the past two days of rain.

Debbie, I'm in awe of your work, and how many different types of stitches there are in it. It's so beautiful!

Glad to see you back, Sherry! Wow, you've got lots done on your Maharajah - I love seeing those holes get all filled in. I'm sure you get a great feeling of accomplishment also, once they aren't holes any more!

I'm home, safe and sound. My legs were getting rather fidgety in the last hour of the flight from Toronto to home, but thankfully not much turbulence - really smooth flying! Now to get over the jet lag. It's 9:15 here, but my body time is 1:15 am, and I have to wait for the dryer to stop before I can go to bed. I should sleep well tonight!

Do you work at a university, Tamara? It sounds just like where I used to work. I was a policy analyst and grants specialist for an engineering research department at the University of Illinois in Urbana/Champaign and that's exactly what Facilities Management used to do with temperature control. From April 1st through September 30th i used to sit under an air conditioning dispersal unit that blew 52 degree air right across my neck, shoulders and hands when I worked at my computer. People used to think I was crazy because I spent all summer long in long sleeved shirts and a bulky knit cardigan sweater and even had fingerless gloves that I wore to work at my keyboard. Ah, the joys of working in old buildings!

Wendy so glad you made it home safe. Hope the airplanes did not scare you too much.

Sherry you are going to be so excited when you get onto a different set of colours than those blue-greens. It looks so awesome though! My kind of colours so far.

Debbie I work for a forest consultant in an old building that is like a maze with additions. The other side where the entrance, accounting, HR, and the owners are was redone 2 years ago and has a proper forced air heating/ cooling system now. The rest of us are waiting for our turn for renovations and we are told they are coming. We have the old boiler/ radiator system and my radiator does not get hot water anymore due to a blockage, but it is also the one that supplies the heat to where the thermostat is so all the other ones go wild while the thermostat and I freeze. And yet my radiator is not worth fixing. The air con unit is at the other end of a short hallway that I am at the other end of and is like the big ones they put over warehouse doors to combat the warm air coming in and it is meant for an area at least 10 times it is in. And the air does not move out of the hallway without fans blowing in / out of the offices and the people in the offices don't understand that. At least for summer I go to one of the satellite offices that has a proper heating / cooling system and don't have to worry so much.
