    August Friday - Monday SAL

Good evening all! I have to be up and out of the house very early in the morning, so I'm announcing our SAL sooner than usual. This week is our SAL for both GK and non-GK projects. Peter will be away fishing so I should have lots of stitching time on Lesbia. Will anyone be joining in?

I'm beginning to feel permanently Out, as in Out of It, considering I missed the last two non-GK SALs - taking photographs has become difficult for reasons too stupid to go into. But I will be in on this one as the cheering section.

I need some help from you ladies. As I think I've mentioned before, I'm really a one-at-a-time project gal - otherwise it would feel as if I were making no progress at all - but I've found an irresistible GK pattern on sale, and I mean irresistible - "Town 2" by Sakaya Ouhito, and it's only on sale for two more days. First question: For those of you who manage multiple patterns, how do you handle any feelings of no progress? Second question: It's awfully tempting to get the full kit, but at a couple hundred dollars, I'm not sure I wouldn't make out better buying the materials individually - except that finding fabric is always a bear. Opinions?

I don't buy kits Meg but that's mostly because I have all the DMC colours already and I have enough fabric built up over the years to cover all my walls and furniture having said that occasionally I do buy some for projects
because GK charts cover all the fabric I don't mind using aida 16 or 18 count but it really depends on how you feel and I now wish I hadn't looked at your Town 2 as I think it is fantastic and is now in my shall I shan't I box
I do one GK and I usually have one other project on the go so I can have a break now and then and because I love stitching on the GK charts I never have the feeling that I am making no progress xx not much help am I but good luck whichever way you choose
