Well done Wendy! But if you had the choice of where to spend that $100, golf or stitching supplies???

From one extreme to the other, Abi and Chris!

I'm sitting and resting all day, and I don't know whether on not to go into Emerg. I turned over on my foot yesterday in the driveway and it's all bruised and swollen. I don't know if I broke something or if ligaments are torn, but it's quite painful to walk. The motion of the golf swing isn't doing it any favours either. I'm so worried that I'm going to lose weeks and weeks from golf. Today is the day before a long weekend and my doctor is beginning his summer vacation, so I can't go see him to get an X-Ray order. That means that if I go to Emerg I will be there for hours and hours and hours waiting.

Sorry to hear about your foot hope it will be ok, a coworker she is 74 just slipped on wet grass picking blackberries and broke her leg.

So here is my wip for this sal, we are leaving for one week to New Orleans. Scott has a conference to go to and I'm tagging along. Never been there so I like to go do some sightseeing.

Wendy you can say that again, both jobs done now and the gardens under 2 inches of water as the heavens opened but it saved me rinsing the patio cleaner off You might be wise going to casualty however long you have to wait, rest up and hope your foot gets better soon

Angela great progress, it looks great. Enjoy your trip

Beautiful progress Angela - enjoy New Orleans! Consider booking a tour of the city. Peter and I did that when we were there for a day and it was fascinating!

Well, I spent the better part of the day at Emergency and it appears that I've broken a bone - the fifth metatarsal, which is the bone leading to the little toe. The doctor said that if one has to break a bone, this is one of the better ones for it to happen to. I bought an AirCast that I can take off at bedtime. I'm not supposed to drive with it on, so I can drive wherever and put it on when I arrive at my destination. I may even be able to golf with it on! I'll give it a try tomorrow, although I won't be able to walk the course with it on - it's too cumbersome. The bruising and swelling are still spreading. It just goes to show how easily something can happen!

Wendy, I'm glad you went ahead and got your foot looked at. Hopefully it will heal properly and quickly.
