Chris, it's coming along nicely. I've hardly done any stitching the last few days. I did start the backstitch, which is easy enough around the outside of the leaves, but the flower centres will be harder. I mostly wasted time on the computer the last few days so the pain of regret is weighing heavily on me.

Woohoo Chris, you finally got to stitch another colour! You're doing a wonderful job, and those little guys will soon be appearing!

Abi, your rose gives me such a feeling of tranquillity when I look at it. You got so much done, especially with your late start in the SAL. I thought the brown looked just fine, but the correction you made was the proper thing to do and it's perfect!

Glenda, I don't envy your back stitch load one bit! Next SAL will be an extended one, so perhaps an hour a day will produce great results!

Well, for this SAL I had two wonderful days golfing and then 36 hours of a dreadful stomach bug that knocked the stuffing out of me, so I only stitched for a few hours yesterday. I'm feeling much better today and I think I'll even be able to eat something! Here is my small progress.

Thank you Abi! This is one that I never would have looked twice at, and then I watched Rachel's progress on hers. I started liking it more and more, so when Marcus discontinued it, I bought it. I believe that it is now back in the store again.

    You're all making great progress.

Abi, I seem to remember you hadn't done all that much of your rose when I joined in, and it wasn't all that many weeks ago, plus it's not the only thing you've been working on.

Wendy, I hope you're back to normal soon. You've certainly had a rough trot lately. You're starting to make good progress with your stitching.

Chris, glad to see you've got a bit more variety in your colours now, though it may slow you down a bit. Can't win, can you?

I did some back-stitching last night so I have my self-respect back now. I was hoping to start my GK project for the next GK sal and was disappointed that I'd still be doing backstitch on the hydrangeas instead, but now that the GK sal is two weeks away I'll probably be ready for it. Yay!!!

Which GK are you starting Glenda? Now, I don't like to disappoint you, but I have to let you know that the GK SAL will be three weeks away this time. The month of May has five weeks in it this year and when that happens we have an extended SAL to cover the extra weekend. The good news is, you can stitch on anything you want - GK or non-GK, or any combination thereof! It will run from May 22 until June 1. Sooo ... you can start your GK sooner than you had planned if you like!!
