    Laurie, glad you are staying with this one. All that background stitching is going to be worth it. I love how the fabric has come out. All those folds.

    Seriously thinking of forming 'the Sludge club' for all those that have to stitch those dark back scenes.

    This is beautiful! So dramatic and I love how the fabric billows against the dark sky. I have several projects with dark backgrounds also and I have to rotate them with other lighter ones or I get too bored. But I know they will look great once the main object of the picture pops out from the "sludge". Like this one, the contrast is part of the beauty! I'm glad you stuck it out - it's looking wonderful now!
