Hello from Australia! Where do I begin?

    Hi everyone,
My name is Charisse and I live in Australia. I love cross stitch (and other crafts like knitting and quilting). I have been reading the forums and admiring everyone's beautiful work. I have bought a couple of GK patterns and I want to take the plunge!
I am trying to decide between S1397 Tea Party (Small) and S1245 An Offering to Venus. I chose solid colours because I like to stitch with one thread on 22ct fabric.
any suggestions on which one I should start with? My brain says start with the smaller one but Venus is soooo beautiful....

Hi Charisse and a warm welcome to the group What a decision to make I think they are both lovely but Venus does it for me. Enjoy choosing and keep us updated.

Welcome Charisse to GK. You will love the patterns and the people here are very nice. I love both of your patterns, but, like Abi, Venus is beautifull. Good luck choosing. Please let us know which one you will start on.

Welcome Charisse, Venus is my favorite, she is beautiful. No matter what it is all one stitch at a time. Can't wait you see you start.

Hello Charisse, and welcome to GK! You can have lots of fun here. Like the others, I'm partial to Venus - I love all of the Godward paintings - but Tea Party is lovely too. You have a difficult decision! Please consider joining us in our weekly Stitch-Alongs (SAL's) that we hold every Friday - Monday. They are great motivators and we will have the benefit of following your progress. I announce them each Thursday and you can decide whether or not you will be participating on that weekend. If you have any questions, just ask. We'd love to have you join us!

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome
I have decided to go with Venus. I have fabric already, I just need to sort through my DMC threads. I'm hoping to get started on the weekend, and I will definitely join in the SAL - I will need all the motivation I can get as I think this will take me years and years!!
